1) Super Sterasyl™Ceramic Filtration Elements have been in continual use since 1827. These ceramic water filters are Made in England

  • Silver impregnated to inhibit bacterial growth
  • Contains granulated activated carbon to greatly reduce chemical and organic contaminants
Removes pathogenic organisms up to 99.9% including;
- Bacteria's such as; E.Coli / Cholera / Shigella / Typhoid / Klebsiella Terriggena
- Cysts Removal such as; Crptosporidium / Giardia
- Removes up to 95% free chlorine
  • 9" element installs in the upper chamber of most Berkey® Water Systems including the British Berkefeld® System; (NOT for TRAVEL model!)
  • Durability: Recommended manufacturer's replacement for each Super Sterasyl™Ceramic Filter Element is six months or 535 gallons (2000 litres) after use
  • Recleanable and self-sterilizing for the life of the filter

    • DBCP (Dibromo-chloro-propane)

  • PF-4™ Fluoride and Arsenic Reduction Filters are designed to be used in conjunction with the Berkey Earth® Elements or the Super Sterasyl™ Ceramic Filter Elements 

  • Attach to the bottom of the Berkey Earth®  Elements or the Super Sterasyl™ Ceramic Filter Elements and sit in the lower chamber of the Berkey unit

  • Number of PF-4s in the bottom chamber must match the number of Berkey Earth® Elements or Super Sterasyl™ Ceramic Filter Elements in the top chamber; for example, 2 Berkey Earth® Elements would require 2 PF-4™ Filters

  • PF-4™ Filters need replacement after six months
