Berkey system canisters that come with cosmetic blemishes may include; scratches, dents, dimples, discolored spots, or irregular polish marks. There are no functional or performance defects with these systems.
The price on Blemished systems fluctuate depending on degree of cosmetic blemishes
- Blemished or Refurbished Systems come standard with 2 Black Berkey® Elements. (Go Berkey excluded) Berkey Light, Big, Royal, Imperial, Crown can be expanded to house more elements.
- Systems have everything you need. including; upper and lower stainless steel chambers, 2 Black Berkey® Elements, priming button, 1 stainless steel lid with knob, 1 spigot, rubber gasket to protect the base, blocking plugs. 1 Vapor lock Clip and 1 vial of red dye is included.
- Performance; Black Berkey Elements remove chlorine, monochloramines, heavy metals, pharmaceuticals, pathogenic bacteria, nuclear radiation such as cesium 137 plus more! - Examples of heavy metals include mercury (Hg), cadmium (Cd), arsenic (As), chromium (Cr), thallium (Tl), and lead (Pb) >Data Sheet here<

Durability: Depending on water quality, This website recommends replacing Black Berkey Elements at 2 years or after 3,000 gallons (12,000 Litres) after use - through a pair of elements.

Blemished or refurbished systems are sold as is - no refunds or exchanges on blemished or refurbished canisters. We inspect all Blemished systems for function or against excessive cosmetic damage. Any system with excessive or unsightly scratches is sold as "Heavily Blemished".
- For a period not to exceed 24 months from the date of receiving product by the original purchaser. Berkey Water Canada will, solely at its discretion, replace a Blemished or Refurbished stainless steel canister due to rust or improper function during the stated warranty period.
